Ballet Arizona's La Bayadere

Set against the rich backdrop of India, La Bayadere tells the heartbreaking tale of a temple dancer and a young warrior kept apart in life and united only in death. The lovers are wrenched apart by twists of fate and doomed by uncontrollable vengeance. With lavish set designs that conjure up exotic locales, this ballet will transport you to a world of noble warriors, cruel princesses and beautiful temple dancers. This is a great opportunity to show students how classic stories can be told without saying a word!

Arizona Opera's Rusalka Lecture & Music

Get a behind-the-scenes peak at Arizona Opera's performance of Rusalka in this lecture and music presentation.When the water nymph Rusalka wants to be a part of our world, she sacrifices everything for the chance at true love. Based on Hans Christian Andersen's original story, Rusalka features dark forests, woodland sprites and the glorious aria "Song to the Moon." The Disney movie The Little Mermaid is loosely based on this story.

Treat your students to the joy of singing this holiday season, as Arizona Repertory Singers presents a variety of holiday favorites. This upbeat and lively concert features the voices of this 45-member chorale ensemble, which was founded more than 20 years ago.

About Act One Field Trips:

Act One provides arts education field trips to Title 1 schools in Maricopa and Pima counties. All seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please fill out a Field Trip Request Form to reserve your field trip. Act One's programming includes buses and admission fees; partnering schools must contribute $1 per participant.
