NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT ACADEMY

Community Leadership
Presented by Ann Silvis, MBA - University of Illinois

The purpose of this workshop is to introduce the topic of community leadership, which includes the skills and tools of working with others, with or without power and authority. Leadership involves bringing diverse groups - sometimes with different values, interests and objectives - together to find common ground and agree on a path forward. Finding ways to encourage others to participate, and facilitating difficult interactions, are all part of leadership. In this workshop, we'll explore ideas and then practice some tools and techniques to enhance your ability to lead others toward shared objectives. Course Fee: $60  CEU Fee: $25  CEUs: 0.6

Tile Signing at the
Keokuk Union Depot

There is still time this fall to sign a roof tile at the Keokuk Union Depot and become a part of Keokuk history.  After making a donation of any size, participants will be allowed to sign their name on the back of one of the clay tiles that will be used on the newly restored roof.

Adults and children are all invited to be part of this fun event at the depot.  This is a chance to become a real part of the Keokuk Union Depot restoration.
All donations for tile signing will go toward the match for the 2 for 1 match to the Jeffris Foundation and will be used for the roof restoration. Donations are tax deductible.

The depot is opened on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. If you can't go in the morning, call Sandy Seabold at 524-1221 and arrange a time to sign. Don't wait too long. The tiles should all be up on the tower within the next two weeks!
