What a beautiful day! I hope you had a marvelous Labor Day Weekend! Those who have gone back to school, I hope your first days back have been filled with joy and anticipation!
This Saturday is our
Annual Yard Sale! Check it out or volunteer!
8am-2pm. Clean up people are always appreciated! Money is provided to the church through project faith.
This Sunday, we celebrate Rally Day! It is true--church never stops! However, once a year we start up new classes for our children and begin another year in the narrative lectionary.
When you come to church this Sunday, expect a couple of things. First, an all church breakfast at 8 am. Second, a wonderful uplifting church service, celebrating God's creation and the joy of creating with God. I would also like to draw your attention to the banner. You will see the words, "Through our hearts with our hands!" above a cross. This Sunday, we will encourage our children to place their hand prints along with any adults who would like to participate. This will happen after worship. In addition, We are inviting our families to play with us after church. Children will do games with Me, while parents socialize and have an opportunity to ask questions for the programs at church. It will be a wonderful day at church!
Lastly, please notice our new missions initiative. We are participating in a nationwide effort to provide clean up kits for the Harvey survivors. We are also contributing to the UCC Harvey Relief fund. I am excited to see how our community rises to action.
