Action Alert!
Dear Policy Action Network Members,

ACTION ALERT!
HB17-1353, the JBC bill to define the ACC and require reporting to the General Assembly will have it's second hearing in the house TONIGHT, Tuesday, April 27th around 5 p.m. Below is a link to a fact sheet with helpful information, the link to the ACC bill and also talking points.

Please reach out to your legislators TODAY asking them to support the House Sponsor, Representative Dave Young, and to resist amendments that would weaken the bill's protections for behavioral health - namely the reference to capitated managed care and the list specifying the community mental health centers and managed care organizations.

CBHC talking points:

We (I) along with the Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council, support(s) HB17-1353.

We believe it is important to define the ACC in statute and to ensure that the General  Assembly has some oversight of the program.

We feel strongly about retaining language regarding capitated managed care payment models.

We are pleased that community mental health centers and managed care entities are specified in performance-based payment reporting in the bill.

Thank you!
