Today's Tip: Get connected at UMD

ISSS Activities
Orientation Week is a great place to start meeting people - join us for the DC Excursion, Lunch Reception, or IKEA Trip...or simply say hi to someone new at a session.

During the semester, our office holds International Coffee Hour every Wednesday, usually from 3:00pm-4:30pm in the H.J. Patterson ground floor atrium. This weekly get-together is a great way to meet new people and reconnect with friends over some free coffee and snacks.

Various organization on campus also organize  trips that help you explore the local area. Look out for announcements!  Events are published in our newsletter ISSS News that you will receive weekly as well as our Facebook page and Twitter account. Make sure to like and follow us to stay in the loop.

Student Organizations
At the University of Maryland, we have over 300 student organizations and we are sure there is one for you. Check out International Student Union to connect with the international student club on campus. Browse student clubs and contact info at http://orgsync.umd.edu or you can talk to student representatives at the massive First Look Fair, usually scheduled about two weeks after classes start.
