New Fall EDP Programs Starting Up The Extended Day Program (EDP) is offering after-school enrichment programs this fall:
Yoga This class, taught by former DCD parent Marie Nagode, will teach your child yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques through a combination of instructor-led sequences, games, music, and positive affirmations. Who: Students in grades 1-5 When: Tuesdays, September 19-November 21 Time: 3:30-4:30 p.m. Where: EDP Cost: $80 (You must register your child for the entire program.) Registration: Registration is required by Friday, September 15. A registration form must be completed and signed for each child.
Chess
Chess Wizards is back! This Chess program teaches children many important life concepts, such as learning the ability to win graciously and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. At the end of this session, each student will have had the chance to participate in a mini-chess tournament.
