The Fortunate Five
Need Our Help!

On Friday, October 21, we picked up five new Bulldogs who were being retired by a breeder. They have become known as the  Fortunate Five , as their life has now been forever changed for the better.

Five new additions at one time is always taxing on Rescue. Five dogs with the medical problems of these five are extremely difficult and expensive. Their initial vet costs are estimated to be $5,000-$6,000.

Buddy is Heartworm positive, and is covered with fleas, ear mites and has an ear infection. He also needs to be neutered.

Abby is Heartworm positive, and is covered with fleas, ear mites and has an ear infection. She needs spayed and a repair for a weeping hole on the side of her teat from mastitis.

Trixie is Heartworm positive, and is covered with fleas, ear mites and has an ear infection. She needs spayed, a mass removed and some dental work.

Gigi is covered with fleas, ear mites and has an ear infection. She needs spayed, and a mass removed.

Dixie is covered with fleas, ear mites and has an ear infection. She needs spayed, and a mass removed.

This could be incredibly taxing on our group and our finances, but we just couldn't say no. We are trusting our supports to help us save these precious Bulldogs. We will continue to post updates on the Fortunate Five on our website and Facebook page.

Please consider making a small  donation to offset their care.

As a component of Lone Star Bulldog Club, Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue (LSBCR), a non-profit, completely volunteer-driven group, is dedicated to saving and rehoming Bulldogs with loving families. We are based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas.

LSBCR typically has about 40+ Bulldogs in its care at any one time and that number is rising now that Bulldogs are listed on the American Kennel Cl ub's Top 10 Most Popular Breeds list.

LSBCR takes in Bulldogs that may be strays, owner surrenders or shelter pick-ups. The dogs are then cared for and treated by vets, placed in loving foster homes to be fully evaluated and finally matched with the best possible families.

Thank you and Bulldog kisses,
