Join the fun at the 2017 Mission Central Celebration
Join the  fun and purchase your tickets for the 2017 Mission Central Celebration! The event will take place on August 18th at the Hurst Conference Center.

The day will start at 10:30 am with a silent auction paradise for anyone who enjoys antiques, collectibles, fine art, and local experiences. More than 100 items have been curated from the Coat of Many Colors Resale Shop and collected from local businesses. Get a jump on your holiday shopping or find a treasure for yourself!

The highlight of the day will be our luncheon and fashion show at 11:30 am. Cheer for your favorite local celebrities -- including our mayor -- as they walk the runway in clothes they found at the Coat of Many Colors Resale Shop.

Tickets are $75 ($50 is tax-deductible) and are available online. You won't want to miss this event - purchase your tickets today!
North Texas Giving Day adds scheduled giving option
North Texas Giving Day is an annual 18-hour giving extravaganza which raises millions of dollars for North Texas nonprofits. Donations made via www.northtexasgivingday.org during the event are multiplied by bonus and prize funds.

This year's event will take place on Thursday, September 14th. This year, it's even easier to give because you may schedule your gift online starting on Thursday, September 7th, and your gift will process on North Texas Giving Day.

Please mark your calendar and plan to give on North Texas Giving Day! Your gifts are the reason we are able to serve more than 30,000 of our neighbors last year.
BBVA Compass offers resources for Community Resource Center guests
piggy_bank_100.jpg Many of Mission Central's guests have a difficult time using banking services. Low credit ratings, high service fees, and minimum deposits make it impossible for many families to open checking and savings accounts.

BBVA Compass has created products that provide our guests the option to open and utilize banking products like checking and savings accounts. Having these accounts allows our neighbors to have their wages direct deposited and to save their money in a safe place.  To help our guests have access to these products, representatives have been visiting our Community Resource Center once a week to explain the products, as well as to gauge interest in offering budgeting and financial management classes for our guests in the future.

Accessible banking and budgeting education help empower our neighbors to improve their own quality of life. Thanks to BBVA Compass for working with our guests to move toward a more secure financial future.
