"An Unexpected Journey"
Sometimes life throws us a curve ball even when we think we have it all mapped out. Sometimes things just don't go the way we had planned. That's what happens again and again for the heroes of our faith in the Book of Genesis. For Noah, Abram, Jacob and Esau, and Joseph the journey is not always what they would have anticipated, yet through it all God seems to make a way. Join us for these summer Sundays to see what message God might have for you as you seek to make sense of your life's unexpected journey.

This Sunday's sermon title is " Unimaginable: Sold into Slavery," by Rev. Steve Price ( Genesis 37:1-4, 12-28). Click here for more information on the series.
Mission Box
This week's Mission Box will support the FUMCH Madison Youth Ranch. The Ranch is a place of love and safety for children who are desperately in need of both. The focus of these funds will go toward making a difference in these children's lives. Let's continue to show these children how much Trinity loves and cares for them.  (text 2 give keyword: ranch).
Trinity Foundation Grant Applications
The Trinity Foundation was created in 1995 as a way to provide long-term financial support for the mission and vision of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Gifts and bequests received by the Foundation enable our church to grow endowments that fund ministry opportunities for generations to come. Income generated from the general endowment fund has been made available over the past three years to support qualifying mission initiatives of the church.

For the year 2017, the Foundation Board has again authorized the distribution of the income from the general endowment fund. These funds will be granted to initiatives identified by ministry areas within the church that are consistent with the mission and vision of Trinity. The best applications will demonstrate innovation, creativity, and/or timeliness in meeting a particular need/opportunity outside the scope of the annual operating budget.

Applications to request funding may be obtained here or from the Foundation administrator, Laura Richardson. Deadline for submission of applications is Thursday, September 7. Awarding of grants will take place at the September 20 meeting of the Foundation Board.
Community Conversation
The Trinity Church Council is hosting a series of "town hall" style events to provide ongoing and open dialogue between the general congregation and lay/staff leadership of the church. The next Trinity Community Conversation will be held July 31 at 6:30pm with a focus on Adult Ministries. All members of the Trinity community are welcome and encouraged to attend. To prepare accordingly, we ask that you RSVP if you are planning on attending the Conversation. If you would like to submit a question ahead of time, there is an opportunity to do so in the registration form.
