AALL 2017 / TYING IT ALL TOGETHER
NOW THAT YOU'RE BACK AT WORK
WE STAY AHEAD OF THE GAME
  • COMMUNICATE: Tell your supervisor what you learned and express gratitude for the opportunity to attend.
  • SHARE: What takeaways (e.g., procedures or policies, best practices, new product or service) are most important for you and your organization? Share them with colleagues and staff.
  • GET TO WORK: Maintain a list of actionable items you want to implement or develop further. Summarize your list and provide an executive report for your employer.
  • DETERMINE ROI: How much will you save your organization by connecting with vendors, learning about new products, or hearing words of wisdom from your colleagues and other experts?
  • ILLUSTRATE VALUE: Craft your own message about the importance of your role, or your department's role, in supporting the work of your organization.
  • CONNECT: Follow up with new colleagues you met at the conference.
  • KEEP LEARNING: Check out recordings of sessions you missed when they are posted.
  • SHAPE 2018: Tell us what your "must-haves" are.
  • INSPIRE OTHERS: Plan a program or present next year.

2017 AALL Annual Meeting

AALL IN THE NEWS
WE'RE LEADERS IN LEGAL INFORMATION

Following the completion of the 2017 AALL Annual Meeting, the Association has received a lot of positive media coverage. Here are a couple highlights:
WE TAKE A STAND

On Friday, July 14, AALL released a letter to the mayors and directors of convention and visitors bureaus of the major cities in Texas announcing that AALL will no longer host meetings in Texas due to recent moves by the legislature to discriminate against LGBTQ people. We strongly believe that our Association, and our nation, are strongest when all people, regardless of race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ethnicity, disability, religion or national origin, come together and celebrate our differences.
WE HONOR OUR PEERS
