SUMMER WIFFLE BALL CLASSIC
South Shore Select is excited to support Ava Malloy and her family. Please read their story and help any way you can.
The idea for this tournament came from 15-year-old Alex Malloy, a Hingham resident and patient at Boston Children's being treated for Gorham Stout, a rare bone disease of the lymphatic system. Alex is teaming up with Dan Ventresca, who was raised in Hingham and also treated at Boston Children's for Gorham Stout disease. Alex and Dan have a Gorham Stout connection but they also have a love of sports and baseball. Dan is a Hingham High School baseball alumni and Alex played this year on the Hingham High freshman baseball team. Thus, a wiffle ball tournament is the perfect fit for a fun community event that raises awareness and funds for an important cause.
