Final tally shows state tax revenues
grew 1.4 percent in FY17
State tax collections for the fiscal year that ended June 30 rose only 1.4 percent from fiscal 2016, but were up 3.1 percent in June compared to June 2016, the Department of Revenue reported on Friday.Final fiscal 2017 collections fell $431 million below budget benchmarks, contributing to state budget adjustments that Gov. Charlie Baker has been making in recent months and which are continuing into fiscal 2018, which began July 1. Read more here.
