  • Stewart introduced and thanked the guests for coming. He also talked about upcoming DCM (see notes in Div. 19 section).
  • Trunk or Treat is October 31st at Hunter Park. Event is 5-7pm, volunteers should arrive a 4:30pm, bring a chair. Let Kim know if you want to help. We are collecting candy weekly.
  • We were provided a recap of the Oasis ribbon cutting event.

Today's program: Oasis Room; Mentor Training

 

Angela Nader provided us with guidelines for mentoring, helpful tips for mentors, what to/not to do, procedures to follow upon arrival. Everyone received a packet of information including a form for volunteers to complete. We'll start out reading on Wednesdays 11:15am-12:45pm.  Chrysten Foley explained how will use a web-based tool called "Sign Up" It will allow volunteers to look and see what time slots are available each week.

50/50: Was not conducted today. Anyone can participate in the 50/50 however only members are eligible to pull for the ace of hearts.  

 

Happy dollars: Sheriff Todd Adams collected; in honor of his 61st birthday, he will contribute $61 to Eliminate if matched--done by Bill Grant! Promo dollar from Heather, excited about Oasis project, happy, thanks Chrysten and Angela, glad to be back. 

DIVISION 19 NEWS/EVENTS
Interclub opportunity-November 2nd, at Kiwanis House downtown Fort Myers, Noon with  Kiwanis Club of Fort. Myers. A special musical program will be presented by Kiwanian Bill Courtwright on Pete Seeger.
If attending or bringing an Interclub call Bill at 239-689-3015. 
 
DCM (Division Council Meeting) Nov 15th at 6pm. Cape Coral Kiwanis Hall, 360 Santa Barbara, Cape Coral 33991. Cost $5, there will be light apps, dessert, coffee, etc. Florida Governor Gary will be the speaker an other presentations as well. RSVP by Nov 13 to Stewart Ross (contact info in left margin).
