Republic Services Hosts Ribbon Cutting for
New Customer Resource Center; Now Hiring

Republic Services, a national leader in recycling and waste services, has opened its new Customer Resource Center in Chandler.  A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Oct. 13 at the company's 72,000-square-foot facility, located at 2525 W. Frye Road.  The new facility is one of three Customer Resource Centers to be established throughout the country to enhance service and support for Republic Services' more than 14 million customers and 30,000 employees.

"Chandler is pleased to welcome another Fortune 500 company - Republic Services - to our City.  We thank the company for their confidence in bringing these jobs to Chandler as we believe it underscores our standing in the marketplace, particularly our stability, quality workforce, and the market-driven developments in our community. We also want to thank Kieckhefer Properties for their investment and work in securing Republic Services," stated Mayor Jay Tibshraeny.

Positions at the facility include customer service, accounting, finance, human resources and information technology. Republic Services has reportedly already hired about 120 people and is accepting applications for another 280 positions. Fry's Announces Grand Opening Celebration for New Marketplace Store in Chandler 

Fry's will host a grand opening celebration on Oct. 21 for its new Fry's Marketplace at the southwest corner of Ocotillo Road and Gilbert Road. The festivities start at 7 a.m. with food sampling and a ribbon cutting planned for later in the morning.

The new store will be Fry's fourth Marketplace store to open this year. At approximately 123,000 square feet, Fry's Marketplace stores are larger than your average supermarket with a number of upscale amenities, including curbside pickup, wine bars, cheese shops, sushi stations and more.

The City of Chandler is asking businesses to identify news and information sources they find most useful to receive City information. A brief survey is being sent this month to 3,000 Chandler businesses and published on the City's website to encourage broader participation. 

The survey asks businesses to indicate what sources they use for information about Chandler, including the City's website, social media and other media sources.
