Dear Dancers and Families, lion-profile.jpg

Siri is out of town today, so your dancer was taught by Ann, the director of Ballare Teatro!

Siri said that last week the dancers had fun doing movements that go with autumn. She asked what their favorite season was, and most like winter best - so we look forward to that both indoors and outdoors in the coming months! They also enjoyed pretending to be different animals at different levels - low, medium, and high.

This week Ann started class with the Body Rock dance. Then we found our spots, did some stretching and learned some ballet positions and terminology. Ask you dancer to show you how to stand like a flamingo (passe)! Next we went to the zoo to dance like the animals do! We then walked across the floor on our toes and learned chasse to get back to our spots. We pretended to be leaves falling from the trees. Finally, we ended class using scarves doing the Rainbow Dance.

It was a great day in dance class!
