Chinese Business Specialist, Author and Trainer, Maiqi Ma writes:

IN THE COURTYARD of the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, there is a 3.9-meter-high sculpture called 'Sky-Patching'. In the Chinese legend, Nüwa is also the mother of humanity. This story reflects the power of Women.

Women, Naturally Better Leaders for the 21st Century?

THE SECOND White Paper in our series on Transpersonal Leadership looks at the reasons why we have a confluence of  women playing a greater role on the world stage in the workplace . It also covers the reasons behind some of the cultural barriers that hitherto have kept them from achieving parity at the most senior levels.

China in Business

CHINA IS DAUNTING and doing business in China is quite forbidding - until you start to understand how to become comfortable with different perspectives and approaches. LeaderShape's Maiqi Ma usually starts by saying, "Shall we forget all those rules for a moment? Just remember that we are all human beings."

Written by a Chinese expat living and working in the UK, having created her own business from scratch, Maiqi helps her customers understand that their most pressing need is how to avoid cultural pitfalls when liaising with the Chinese whether in China or in the West.   Why not take a look at how leadership works across continents?  Find out more here.

Maiqi, known as Maggie, has been a project manager and professional trainer for over 15  years. She has been involved in several joint venture negotiations with a value of tens of millions of RMB, and has also engaged with the integration of the largest nationwide online real estate trading platform and online forum. Her footprint covered many Chinese cities and extended to neighbouring countries in south-east Asia. She published 4 business books whilst resident in China.

Maiqi believes life is a journey, to experience differences and enjoy challenges. Her LeaderShape profile is well worth a look.
