October 2016 President's message

Hello my Friends,

I love October, as it means the holidays are upon us, making us really count our blessings. Thanks to all of you for your support of PSWIFT. Without you, we would not be able to give back to the Greater Community. I am grateful!

Please make sure you RSVP for the Broken Glass Awards on November 15, 2016 where we honor those amazing women who have broken through the glass ceiling! My heartfelt congratulations to our honorees thus far this year, Diane Ladd, Deborah Liebling and Terri Ketover! Our committee headed by Elaine Church and Mitch Blumberg are all working hard to make this another sensational event!

Keep in mind we are not holding a mixer in October so you can use those valuable hard earned dollars towards attending our fundraiser. Much of the proceeds benefit our programs and educational community outreach including our BookPALS program.

Congratulation to  our member Bianca Rae for being named one of the 12 Most Influential Women of 2016 by CV Weekly Magazine. In addition please welcome new members Mika Moulton and Penny Carpenter!

I wish you safe and happy Halloween!

My best always,
Patti

PSWIFT Board members Elaine Church, Christiane Joubert & Mitch Blumberg attended the screening of Dennis Viollet: A United Man hosted by Kim Waltrip, advisory Board Member of PSWFIT and Consulting Producer of this film. It was a wonderful film, a must see that was produced and directed by daughter Rachel Viollet. As an audience member said "this film was a love story and tribute to her father"! This inspiring documentary showcases the life of Manchester United & Busby Babe legend Dennis Viollet.
