Dear Parishioners,

The Discernment Committee has been busy over the past few weeks reviewing the applications we received for the position of rector. Nearly two dozen applications were received representing a great amount of diversity in background, experience, geographic region, race, ethnicity, and gender. After completing a period of discernment and prayer, we are excited to announce that 7 candidates have been invited to interview with the committee. Over the month of August we will be meeting with these candidates virtually, using web conferencing technology. We are currently preparing our interview questions and scheduling the interviews. As a result of these interviews and by the end of August, it is our goal to select 3 finalists who we will interview in person and subsequently visit their current parish to see them preside over a service and listen to them preach. This will occur during the months of September and October. God willing, we will enter a period of discernment in November with the goal to select our next rector and deliver our recommendation to the Vestry no later than December.

We are excited by these candidates and the future they represent for our parish. Please continue to keep us, the candidates, and your fellow parishioners in your prayers as we enter these next few months.
