Viewing 3D Layouts on Apple and Android Devices
Technology has made it extremely easy to view designs "on the go". Mobile devices like phones and tablets have applications, or apps, available that make it easy to view these designs, so you are not required to use a desktop computer and can easily work in the field.

One app that we have found helpful is A360 from Autodesk, Inc. A360 allows you to view, share and markup your 3D layouts on your mobile device. You can download this app for free from your designated app store. Simply install the app on your device, register as a user, and sign in to begin using its features.

Apple App Store:                           Google App Store:

To view IntelliVIEW layouts on the A360 app, you must save the layout in a DWF format on your computer, and then the file can be emailed and downloaded on your device for easy viewing.

In iModel, click on the "Layout" drop-down menu, select "Save Layout As...", and then save the layout using the "DWF Files (*.DWF)" extension option.

Email the .DWF file, download the file on your mobile device and select the option to open and save the .DWF file in the A360 app. There are options in the app that will allow you to view the trusses and walls, hide the planes, change perspective views, markup the layout, take snapshots to share with others, as well as other tasks.

The A360 mobile app allows for more flexibility in performing daily design tasks.
