July 25 , 2017

Partnership and collaboration are wonderful things. Especially when values allign and you get to work with renewed energy with people you already like.

Case in point: t hrough the BizRecycling program, we have a partnership with our ESABA member the St. Paul Saints to give away tickets if you sign up for an assessment to learn about increasing recycling at your business. The assessment is free. The tickets are FREE.

The week's looking better.

Through a grant with State Farm Insurance and in conjunction with ESABA member Metropolitan State we hosted interns like those pictured below with five other ESABA members. This kind of multiplier is what good collaboration can do.

And next week ESABA welcomes you out to lunch at Ho Ho Gourmet to jump start your own collaborations. Could it be the start of something like a lunch bunch? Join us and find out.

See how you can put connections and your network to work for your business this week.

Enjoy the East Side,

-p

CERT for All Small Businesses

Benefits of the CERT program are undeniable, so says Arif Ahmed, owner of Ali Mama's Sambusas, a restaurant on the East Side. But there can be challenges in getting set up to be CERT certified. On July 26th, one on one assistance in navigating the process is coming to us.

CERT qualifies you for the priority vendor list for things like the Super Bowl coming in 2018 and for vendor contracting with cities and counties. Assistance for Small Business Enterprises (SBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Woman Business Enterprises (WBE) will be available at the workshop. Contact Paris if you have questions.
