Pray for Healing
  The Oct. 22 issue of the Clarion Herald highlights the annual Mass for the Victims and Survivors of Violence. Dozens of people processed into St. Louis Cathedral on Sunday with pictures of their loved ones and placed them near the altar, where Archbishop Gregory Aymond blessed them.  

   Administrators of Catholic schools in the South gathered last week for a conference where they heard about the importance of remaining true to their mission of providing a values-based education

    She's a nurse ... and she's also a nun. Sister Thu Mai Nguyen says her job as a pediatric nurse at Ochsner allows her to spread both physical and spiritual healing.  

   A new exhibit at the Old Ursuline Convent spotlights the life and legacy of Mother Henriette Delille, who founded the Sisters of the Holy Family in 1842.  In his regular column, Archbishop Aymond reflects on what the life of Mother Henriette means to New Orleans Catholics.  

   Marianite Sister Suellen Tennyson has spent the last three years as a missionary in Burkina Faso in West Africa, and she's loved every moment of her mission service.  

   A new documentary takes a look at the original image of the Divine Mercy, which made a circuitous journey and wound up in Lithuania. 

   St. Joachim Church in Marrero is embarking on a project to expand its "church in the woods" for more seating and a family-friendly atmosphere. 

   Two girls who spent most of their childhood outside the United States are now new students at St. Mary's Academy. They love their school and their new collection of friends.
