Michigan in Context

Center for American Progress (October 13, 2016)
Comparing public undergraduate enrollment by demographics at very high research universities versus other four-year universities and two-year institutions, the Center finds that under-served populations tend to be less represented in the very high research universities than in the other two categories. However, in Michigan, black students comprise 17% percent of very high research university enrollment versus 9% nationally, and 24% of undergraduates at very high research universities are Latino versus 12% nationally.
