Flower Guild - vases needed
Each week our Flower Guild visits and delivers flowers to shut-ins, or members who are sick or in the hospital.  The flowers they deliver are from our Sunday Altar arrangement.

The Flower Guild needs some medium size vases (no bud vases).

If you would like to donate some medium size vases to the Flower Guild, they can be dropped off at the church office, or brought to church on Sunday morning and placed on the counter in the kitchen.   Thank you for your support of this important ministry.
Planning Page for 2017 DR Trip
$200 Deposit to Join the Team
December 1 is the deadline to join the 2017 DR mission team. Since this deadline is a little earlier than in past years, we are not asking for you to buy your airline ticket by that date. Instead, a nonrefundable deposit of $200 will secure your place on the 2017 team. This $200 deposit will be part of your team fee, which we estimate to be between $650 and $700. We will be able to calculate that team fee more exactly once we know our projects and the in-country room, board, transportation and hotel expenses.

A webpage with planning information about our 2017 Dominican Republic mission team is now available at the link below. We are thinking about making a major change in our flights. Rather than flying from Orlando on JetBlue, there is a possibility that we might fly from Valdosta to Atlanta and then on to Santo Domingo. Details are in the flight section on the planning page. No decision has been made yet, and do not purchase flight tickets now. More detailed information will be available by November 1.

If you are interested in applying to join the team, contact Julia or Julius Ariail at  juliacariail@gmail.com .

DR Supper and Auction Event
February 23, 2017 - Save the Date!

We will hold our annual dinner and auction for the Dominican Republic mission trip on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the Cotton Corner in downtown Valdosta. This is our major fundraiser for the scholarships we donate to the Episcopal school in El Pedregal (70 in 2015 and 2016!) and for the expenses of our work projects in that village. For more information, contact Julia Ariail at juliacariail@gmail.com.
