PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

4TH ANNUAL JOEY'S PLACE MARKET

Adult day program participants worked diligently during the program's 4th Annual Joey's Place Market. Tables were decorated with baked goods, key chains, bracelets, cotton candy and popcorn. Using fresh veggies from the garden, participants made homemade salsa. During this event, we are able to reveal creative skills and focus on teamwork. We are excited to host this event next year!  For more information about Joey's Place day program for adults with developmental disabilities, contact D ionna Lanich, Joey's Place Coordinator at

SKSF IN THE NEWS

During our Night of Comedy, this NEW Zach's Place video was featured.
Thanks to Jen Kent-Young & family Aaron & Brody for sharing their journey!

"I wanted to say how appreciative we are to have been such a big part of the Night of Comedy.... I had no idea how huge of en event this was... As I watched the video, I cried.  You captured our story, captured my happy boy.  The support from last night was unreal.  This is never an easy journey.  This week was especially tough.  It was the perfect way to end my week and to know that you all support my family.  Your employees are kind and caring, compassionate and loving.  You have truly given us a means of support....I noticed how much they all cared for Brody.  You always want your child to be in great hands, but I know, I truly know in the pit of my stomach that these people LOVE him.  Thank you all for doing such an amazing job and for continuing to support families in our community.  You are a wonderful resource and we are lucky to have you all in our lives.   All our best."    Jen, Aaron and Brody

We'd like to share a message from one of our church group leaders.
Different parishes from the Catholic Dioceses came together from Parker to Pueblo to volunteer with a group they called "Mission Possible."

"I wanted to let you know that it has been reported to me that one of the youth from Mission Possible who went to your site had a profound experience.  According to the Mom I spoke with, her daughter came to a real understanding that the kids that she encountered at Zach's Place were no different than her and the other volunteers.  They all want to be loved and accepted for who they are.  The youth is even considering volunteering more of her time this fall.  Mom also thinks that perhaps her daughter might even pursue studies in special education.  How is that for a meaningful service project?!!  Thank you for allowing the kids to come to Zach's Place for Mission Possible.  I hope even more kids had as great an experience as this young girl did and that her enthusiasm will cause others at our parish to want to serve your kids this fall as well."

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

COMMUNITY BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT
Partnerships between nonprofits and businesses
provide invaluable opportunities!
We are introducing a new segment in our E-News in which we will be highlighting a community business that supports our mission and objective to promote, strengthen & support individuals with disabilities either through donation, sponsorship or volunteerism.

We appreciate all you do and thank you for your support of our organization!

Amazing Care Home Health Services, Inc. was a sponsor at not only our BBQ, Blues & Brews event this past year but our recent Night of Comedy event as well!

Located locally at 5755 Mark Dabling Blvd in Colorado Springs, Amazing Care is corporately located in Aurora, Colorado with an additional office in Westminster, Colorado.

THE STORY OF AMAZING CARE
Everyone deserves to be healthy and safe at home. Sometimes you need a little extra help to accomplish this. We would like to get further acquainted with you by sharing our story before you welcome us into your home.
Arthur Lowry, our founder and CEO, worked in home care for years and he felt that the patient was often lost in the system. In 2004, he decided to make it his goal to give Colorado a home health agency that focuses on always putting the patient first.  While he began with a modest office and only a few clinicians, his dedication to making patient needs and care a top priority helped build a reputation that led to a flourishing local company. We now proudly serve the Denver Metro Area and Colorado Springs.

Our  TRUE   MISSION is " Letting compassion and quality of service lead the way."  VISION   STATEMENT: " To become the nation's leading provider of home health services. We will accomplish this goal not by focusing on sales revenue, but rather focusing on the quality of service we provide our clients."
