Internationally recognized pain specialist and author named keynote speaker
CORAL SPRINGS, FL - (Oct. 19, 2016) -
Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants announced that it will host its 1
9th Annual Pain Symposium at the
Coral Springs Marriott - Heron Bay on
Saturday, November 12 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The conference is certified to offer CME, CEU, CDM and CCM credits. There is no charge for invited guests.
The symposium provides important information on the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain conditions. Attendees will include orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, neurosurgeons, rheumatologists, family medicine physicians, physiatrists, psychologists, attorneys, nurses, case managers, adjusters and other interested health care professionals.
The keynote speaker will be
Peter S. Staats, MD, MBA, an internationally recognized board certified anesthesiologist and pain physician. He received his medical degree from the
University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency and fellowship training at the
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Maryland. Dr. Staats has written several books on the science of pain management and has authored more than 200 articles, abstracts and chapters covering pain management.
Adrienne Baker, the president of the
National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI)
Georgia Chapter, will be speaking about prescribing and the prevention of pharmaceutical drug diversion. She is an Associate Director of Law Enforcement Liaison and Education for
Purdue Pharma. Additionally,
Ira B. Fox, MD, DABPM, FIPP, ABIPP,
Cuneyt Ozaktay, MD, Joseph J. Alshon, DO, and
Javier Vilasuso, MD, all of Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants, will discuss a variety of pain management topics and interventional techniques.
