From the Executive Director |
Perennial Partners
Dear Friends,
Fall is upon us and the Arboretum is bursting with activities for one and all.
I would especially like to draw your attention to a new group of dedicated RRA supporters that we want to single out and acknowledge - a group we have now named our Perennial Partners.
Perennial Partners are those of you who have continually shown us, for 10 years or more, that the Arboretum means so much more to you than just a lovely place to visit. Through your ongoing support, you've demonstrated that Reeves-Reed Arboretum is more than a place, it's a community of people.
We thank you for this enduring (and endearing) endorsement and will see you in the garden, very soon!
Cheers,
PS - To our
Perennial Partners, please be on the lookout for invitations to private events, receptions, and workshops just for you!

Creating a Perennial Border with Perennial Interest
Wednesday, October 19 from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
The time to start planning your perennial border for next season is...October 19! That's when Reeves-Reed Arboretum's horticultural staff is offering a 1.5 hour workshop on using perennials for maximum longevity and interest. Bring a rough sketch of your proposed or current garden site, and be sure to measure the area so you can work to scale. The Arboretum will provide information, guidelines, and hands-on assistance. Weather permitting, we'll also take a quick look at some of the late-bloomers in the Arboretum's own gardens.

The "Goatel" is Reopening!
Our grazing friends from Green-Goats in Rhinebeck, NY will be back at the Arboretum helping us clear away a year's worth of wildflower growth, invasive vines and weeds. This environmentally friendly vegetation removal will allow for the annual restoration and replanting of the Daffodil Bowl with bulbs for a spectacular spring.
This "Green Goat" initiative would not be possible without your help! For $25, you can sponsor a goat and receive your very own official certificate of 'Good Goatsmanship'. Please
click here to sponsor a goat or two!
The goats will be here in mid-October and will be our "Featured Guests" at Celebrate Fall on Sunday, October 23 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Please stop by for a visit!
