Welcome to my favorite birding month. Lots of birds come through this month, also many of the summer residents return. As you will see from the slide show, it is also a great month for flowers.

Bullock's Oriole
Bullock's Orioles are birds that show up late and leave early. So I was surprised to hear one sing out this morning. Usually, I wouldn't be looking for them until after the first week of May. It's good to see that things are moving along. Enjoy them while you can because by mid-July they are on their way back home.
