We hope you are enjoying the High Holy Days of 5777.
As you know, we have made some changes in the entry process this year. First, we invite you to pick up your tickets in advance, instead of going to Will Call.
We are open during these times:
9:00AM-4:00PM, Friday, October 7th
9:00AM-5:00PM, Monday, October 10th
9:00AM-2:30PM, Kol Nidre, Tuesday, October 11th
Second, because we are now using scanners, tickets are required for all services. This is new. Members should bring their tickets.
Non-members are welcome to Neilah and Yizkor services. Click here for the form that will generate a printable ticket.

3:30-4:15PM: Sing and Shake in the Sukkah (ages 3 and under)

This peaceful celebration of the end of Shabbat will feature music, storytelling, and will be held in the Sukkah, weather permitting.

Morning Simchat Torah and Yizkor Service
Continue the celebration and see the whole Torah unrolled. This service will include the prayers and reflections of Yizkor.

Re(Soul): The Pilgrimage Festivals
This year, our (Re)Soul series looks at the 3 pilgrimage festivals - Sukkot, Passover, and Shavuot - and helps us create an intentional practice for and encounter with these holidays and beyond. With sessions on mindfulness, using meditation, and focused text study, take these opportunities to stop, take a deep breath, and reflect on the life you are living and want to live.

CRS Shelter is Open!
Do you know anyone who has volunteered? Ask them about it!
By volunteering at our homeless shelter, you will provide in-the-moment assistance to people who have nowhere to sleep.

Every week during the school year, our Backpack Buddies program provides a weekend backpack full of food to children in our neighborhood who receive free lunch and breakfast during the school week. Click here to find out more.

Create sustainable feminine hygiene kits: in conjunction with the organization Days for Girls, volunteers will be sewing the Days for Girls kit components. We are also knitting for the Shawl Ministry and Seamen's Church Institute. Beginners welcome as we are happy to teach people how to knit and sew.

As the calendar turns to 5777 and we come together as a congregation, the High Holy Days call us to action: teshuvah, tefillah, and tzedakah - repentance, prayer, and charity. These words remind us to focus not only on self-improvement, but also providing for our community, a charge that is embodied in the Yom Kippur Appeal (YKA).
The YKA is our largest source of revenue aside from membership dues, which only cover 55% of our operations. Philanthropic support, over and above dues, allows us to maintain well-loved programs, explore exciting new projects, and meet previously unanticipated needs within the congregation. From providing dues assistance, to making unexpected repairs to our building, to supporting our remarkable clergy, your participation makes a tangible impact.
