Interested in robots or electronics?   Our Robotics Team is meeting  tomorrow Tuesday , in room 123 after school with a new Electronics Mentor. Come check out the robot and meet the new mentor! Maybe get a chance to drive the robot!

On October 11th from 6-8:30 in the high school media center, Tom Larson from Thrivent Financial will be with us to present "Secret tips for saving on college costs!"
This is Tom's 4th year talking with Forest Lake students and parents.  Space is limited so if you plan to attend, please RSVP to  hkarstens@flaschools.org.

LAYSB is hosting a FREE Personal Finance program for teens in 8th -12th grade! You will get an opportunity to learn from local bankers about the importance of saving, how to create a spending plan, and get information on credit, debt, and identity protection. Registrations forms are in the College and Career Center.

Hey Sophomores, want to join a fun leadership group? Consider joining SADD.  SADD is a student lead organization that is passionate about influencing themselves and others to make better decisions about everyday challenges.  Talk to Ms. Frericks in room 122 for more details.

Tuesday, September 27th is National Voter Registration Day! If you will be 18 years old by November 8th and haven't yet registered to vote, look for the voter registration table in the lunch room on Tuesday during the lunch period. Please bring your driver's license. Participate in our Democracy!

Tutoring will officially begin Tuesday, October 11th Tutoring will only be offered to students enrolled in classes at the high school (we have some 9th graders and ALC students).
Here is the schedule:
Mondays,  2:40:-4:30   Math/Spanish and French
Tuesdays,  2:40-4:30 Social Studies/ Math and Chemistry
Wednesdays  2:40-3:30 Chemistry
Thursdays  2:40-4:30 Math/Bio/general sciences

We will also offer tutoring  Monday- Thursday mornings from  7:00-7:55.  These sessions must be set up in advance.

Hugo Feed Mill is hiring for a part time position after school and weekends for a warehouse position.

Rally around the Rangers
"Go Rangers!"

Boys Soccer:  Please come & cheer for the Boys Soccer team as they host Cretin-Derham Hall on Tuesday. The JV team starts at 4:15 at FLHS Schumacher Baseball Field and the Varsity team plays at the FLHS Varsity Stadium starting at 7PM. Loud cheering is highly encouraged!

Volleyball:  FLHS Volleyball Players and Coaches Appreciate You ~ You are invited to attend TEACHER and STAFF APPRECIATION NIGHT at the Forest Lake Rangers home Volleyball game against Stillwater on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 The B-Squad and Junior Varsity games begin at 5:30 pm with the Varsity game following at 7:00 pm. All district teachers and staff along with one guest will be admitted free with your ID badge on this day. If you are able to make it to the game, be sure to stop by the "check in" table. Rumor has it there is going to be chocolate again this year. We hope to see you at the games; let's try to pack the gyms with the best school district employees around! This event allows players to recognize a teacher/staff member that made a difference in their life. The player name and the person they are honoring is listed below. A special congratulations to these teachers!

Attention Students- Support your fellow Rangers at our FLHS athletic events.  RANGER NATION PASSES are for sale for $30.  This will get you in to all of the home events for the 2016-17 school year.  This $30 also includes a free Ranger Nation T-Shirt (while supplies last).

Community Ed is offering a two session ACT prep course called PrepStar Blast starting on  Mon, Oct 10 .  It's a great opportunity for students to have a crash course on preparing for the ACT.
