Don't let price fool you, this is an incredible wine.
We came across an old vine Yakima Valley Syrah which is showing gloriously. If you love Syrah, you will love this one. If you don't love Syrah, you will probably love this one anyway. Today we are offering the 2013 MCK Syrah, what a luxurious bottle of wine. The nose is violets, lavender and lush blueberry. The tannin layer is not at all astringent and indeed very satisfying in a very opulent palate coating way. The flavor profile is bright rich blueberry with red fruit mixed in along with a haunting indication of pepper with a bit of Chateauneuf gravel to add complexity. This wine is traditionally made and spent 22 months in French to add to its old vine polish. Regarding the length of finish, the finish lasts about a day.

$35.50, 42 bottles available

Parker is right, they are giving this one away (reviews below)

All of the very best, Rex and Michele

Coming from an older vineyard planted next to Dick Boushey's Bushy Vineyard, Smith's 2013 MCK (this stands for Motor City Kitty) is inky colored and off-the-charts good, with layers of black fruits, olive tapenade, crushed rock and pepper. Massive, full-bodied, decadent and voluptuous, it's certainly not for those craving lightweight aromas and flavors and dishes out immense pleasure. I think they almost give this away (it's priced somewhere around 35 buckets), but don't let price fool you, this is an incredible wine.

Don't be fooled by the Washington label. This is Yakima Valley fruit coming from a site next to esteemed Boushey Vineyard. Aromas of fresh herbs, brown stems, red fruit, graphite, bacon fat and orange peel lead to a mouthful of generous fruit flavors. The finish persists.
