Good Morning,
Years ago, when I worked for a large manufacturing company, I was given the responsibility to manage its maintenance department. It seemed like every day the same pieces of equipment would break down. The crew would fix it only for it to happen again.
After a little research, I learned that they were doing just enough to get it running again rather than really fixing the problem. From this, we developed the philosophy of "Do it right, not over" The most difficult problem with implementing was convincing them they would not run out of work if things were done correctly.
The same goes with everything we do. We should commit to spending the extra time (and it isn't usually much) to do things right the first time. We can do so much more and not be nearly as frustrated.
No, we won't run out of things to do.
