Items for The Telegraph Booth

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(from Karen Porter)
Some things were lost from the telegraph booth due to the Clayton fire in Lake Co.  We could use your help in replacing them.  We need four desk light for the tops of the writing desks, a chandelier for the front, either a floor lamp or chandelier for the boys area, and a large table or desk lamp for the check out table.  Also a small light for the distribution table would be appreciated.  The furniture was being stored by fair and is fine.  I will be at first weekend workshops if you can bring the item or a picture.  We can pay a little but not much.
Also may need a mistletoe connection and a few pitchers for roses.
Free Fabric Scraps at Dharma
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(from Parris Southworth)

My name is Parris and I've been working at the Renaissance Faire and Dickens Christmas Fair for more than 20 years now.

When I'm not on fair(e) site, I'm working at Dharma Trading company, which carries all kinds of dyes, fabrics and great art supplies. Recently, we have had an influx of our scrap fabrics. These are fabrics that are the leftover ends of bolts, pieces of fabrics which may have some flaws in them or are too small to sell. All in all, they're still quite useable! They're bundled up and ready to go. These scrap bags are made as we cut pieces of fabric for customers, so there's a whole treasure trove of assorted fabrics in each one.

I know all us folks are gearing up for Dickens and wanted to see if you'd be able to place a note in the next missive to let folks know that Dharma Trading has good sized bags of scrap fabrics that we're giving away for free. These fabrics are great for costuming, dyeing, deco, scrap knitting, just about anything.

(You would need to pay the cost of shipping, or let us know and you can pick up your order at our Petaluma warehouse at no cost).

Here's the details:

Cotton Grab Bags: Have cotton, linen, hemp, bamboo, rayon and assorted plant-based fabrics that weigh in at 4 pounds.

Silk Grab Bags: Have silk, and wool and assorted mixed silk and wool fabrics that weigh in at 3 pounds.

We have a lot of them, so please let us know what you need!
Most of our fabrics are natural white, but we do have black fabrics and colored silks too, so there may be some in the bags as well.
Just give us a call at Dharma and we'll be happy to get you set (we're also really great a troubleshooting and dye help and advice).

Ph. 800-542-5227

Feel free to contact me, and if folks have any questions, I am happy to help! Thanks and see you all at Fair!
