The Harvest for Hope has been a big success. We collected baskets of home grown vegetables and donated to the Project Hope food pantry. They were very appreciative of the donation of fresh produce for their clients. This will be our last week for the month of September. The last collection date is Tuesday September 27.
Nature Lady Program:
Looking for a volunteer Nature Lady(or man) for the 2016-2017 school year. Do you love learning about nature and animals in our area and want to share it with K-2nd graders at St. Annes? It is a very minimal time commitment but the rewards are plenty.
Attend three one hour volunteer meetings throughout the school year at the Barrington Area Library - November, January and March. All the research and visual aides for the presentations will be provided to you. Schedule a date that is convenient for you to give the presentations at your school to Kindergarten through 2nd graders. This year's presentations will be on bats, woodpeckers and turtles. This program originated in the 1930s and is generously supported by the Garden Club of Barrington and Little Garden Club of Barrington. If you are interested in joining this fun and dynamic group please contact Eryka Accordino at
erykah@live.com or (216) 288-7836.
