Camaraderie and our Men's Bootcamp...


It's that special time of year again! No, not pumpkin spice season, 
Fantasy Football season! 

For the 5th year in a row, the Men's Boot Camp are conducting their very own Fantasy Football League. The league, aptly named, "Touchdown & Pushups" is just another reason for the guys to help build a strong bond between each other. We are always supportive of one another, inside and outside of the gym, so this gives us a healthy outlet to compete and banter.

About a week before the NFL season starts, the guys get together to share food and beer, and to draft their fantasy football teams. The draft normally takes 3 hours and is always a ton of fun, filled with jokes, excitement, ribbing, and the occasional verbal berating. Plus, it gives us something new to talk about every week when the guys are busting their butt at the 5:45am boot camp that they are pushing through. It is a friendly fraternity that's always inviting as long as you can take a joke or two.....or twelve.

We are very excited to start this fantasy season and we will keep you up to date on how the guys do throughout the year!

Paleo Pumpkin Muffins

INGREDIENTS

 
1/2 cup coconut flour
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
6 eggs
2 teaspoons organic vanilla
1/4 cup raw honey, melted
3 tablespoons walnuts, chopped


DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Sift the coconut flour, pumpkin pie spice, and baking powder together.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix all remaining ingredients, except for the walnuts, until well blended. Add the sifted flour mixture to the pumpkin puree mixture, and mix well until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter between muffin pans, and sprinkle with walnuts.
  4. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until done.
