Sally Brown
Welcome October,

While waiting for the great pumpkin, a random question has been much on my mind... Which came first the D-kin' D-nuts or the always adjacent traffic hazard? I mean, is pumpkin- spice coffee really THAT great? (Psst-- just add cinnamon and nutmeg to anything and taste the fall flavor ;-)

Enjoy!

Broadway Street Fair On Saturday, 10/8, I encourage you to attend the First Annual Broadway Street Fair. The event is billed as a family-friendly day of music, great food, kids activities, art, dancing and more. The fine merchants and restaurants that bring this part of our city to life have to date endured four long years of extremely disruptive construction.  So come to the Fair and stay a while-- grab a coffee, get a haircut, have lunch, shop for a vintage Halloween costume and treat yourself to a cupcake! Let's get out in numbers to support these local businesses now, throughout the Holiday (gasp) shopping season and over the winter too. They've earned it. Otherwise, next Spring we may look forward to a fine street-scape with ample parking, wide sidewalks and nice lighting to view empty windows of abandoned shops.
