Lexington wins by 6 at High School Invitational

Lexington High School won  the WSCGA Junior Foundation High School Invitational by 6-strokes over their nearest competitors. The team started the round with a 7-stroke lead over Bishop England. Gracyn Burgess, the most senior player, lead the team with rounds of 67 & 71 for a total of 6-under, 138, which was also the lowest total score of all the participants. Each player on the team had at least 1 round count towards the team total. Isabella Rawl had two low rounds with a 72 & 78. Molly Hardwick's first round 78 and Karlee Vardas' second round of 80 were both used to get the team totals of 216 and 229 for a two-day total of 445. 

Bishop England finished 2nd with scores of 223 and 228 for a total of 451. They were lead by  Kathleen  Sumner with rounds of 70 and 72 for a total of 142. She T2 for overall individual. The scores from Kennedy Carol and Emma Wofford for both rounds were used in the team score. Their fourth player was Katerina Klein, who was playing in her first WSCGA High School Invitational. 


The low 5 players were named to the All High School Team. 8 Players shot a total of 149 or better to make the team. The 1st and 2nd place players will receive invitations to the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Tour Championship.
