The Grand Opening of Southern Pine Apartments in Virginia Beach was held on Wednesday, September 28th. It was an honor to have Mayor Will Sessoms attend and speak at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The evening highlighted Southern Pine's luxurious, lowcountry vibe through a black/white southern flare theme, with heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails catered by Chesapeake Bay Catering, music by Jesse Chong and horse-driven carriage ride tours throughout the community. The 240-unit Southern Pine Apartments are located at 2520 Allie Nicole Circle near the intersection of Nimmo Parkway and Princess Anne Road, just behind the Courthouse Market Place Shopping Center. 

Our team members went above and beyond this month by supporting United Way of South Hampton Roads Day of Caring. The Day of Caring supports local non-profit and public service agencies in the Hampton Roads community by connecting teams of volunteers to various improvement projects throughout the area. Projects include panting, landscaping, cleaning, general repair, and gardening at more than 65 area non-profit and public service agencies to improve the quality of life in our community. This year, The Franklin Johnston Group partnered with ForKids,Inc. and with the Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority at Young Terrace in Norfolk to help the local Norfolk community. Thank you to all volunteers for making our community a better and more beautiful place to live.

Several Maintenance Technicians, from neighboring properties gathered at Marina Shores Apartments in Virginia Beach. Gathering as a team helped tackle complex projects and solve problems efficiently. Working together with different strengths, their unique ideas and perspectives helped generate solutions. Andrew Carnegie said, "Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results".

Help build a 70-Acre adventure camp opening in 2017 for Wounded Warriors, Gold Star families, and children with disabilities and to continue the mission to fight ALS. The JT Walk & Beach Party will have live entertainment all day, featuring Grammy Award-Winning Brand TRAIN as the day's headlining act! • 10:00am: JT Walk Team Line Up on the Boardwalk at 31st St.
• 11:00am: JT Walk Beach Party starts on the beach at 8th St. Kids Park and Family Fun Zone includes face painting, hot dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, and inflatable bounce houses. 
• 12:00pm: King Neptune's Treasure Hunt begins at The Beach Party. Concert Zone open
• 1:00pm: Main Stage live music begins on the beach at 7th St.
• 2:30pm: Grammy Award-Winning TRAIN performance on Main State at 7th Street on the Beach
