St. Francis Day and Blessing of the Animals is tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 1
We will celebrate the Blessing of the Animals beginning at 10 am this
Saturday, October 1, in the parking lot of the Church.
This short gathering will include each pet receiving a blessing from Fr. David, a St. Francis medallion, a pet bandanna and treats for animals and humans alike.
Any pet is appropriate for blessings, from spiders to horses and all creatures in-between. Even a child's "stuffed pet" is welcome for blessings This event will also recognize the loss of a pet companion who is remembered and missed.
Furry Kids' Refuge, a local no-kill rescue organization, will be on hand to help us celebrate the day. In support of this organization, attendees are encouraged to donate an item from their
Wish List.
This wonderful event is meant to be shared with our community! Please invite your friends and neighbors and feel free to promote it on social media.

Inquirers Classes continue
I
nquirer's classes continue this week on
Sunday, October 2
at 12:15 pm and repeat on
Thursday, October 6
at 7 pm. The same class is offered both days and will continue 2 times each week until completed. Feel free to attend either class time.
This class is not just for people new to the Episcopal Church, but to all who want to know more about our part of the Christian faith, why we do what we do, and more about tradition, scripture and reason, that serve as the three pillars of Anglicanism. C
lasses are approximately one hour in length and are intended to foster open discussion. The classes will also prepare adults for confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church.

Blessing Bags assembly on Sunday
This Sunday you will have the opportunity to help assemble the Blessing Bags. There will be a table set up in the Undercroft to fill a bag. We have been taking 12 bags to Community Service League each month. These are given to the Blue Springs Police Department to hand out to those in our community who are in need. Take a minute and "fill a bag". It's quick and easy and helps many. Thanks!
