Ways to get involved with JA this School Year
Students from Helix High School give a shout out to the dedicated volunteers for preparing them for career and financial success at Mission Fed JA Finance Park.

The new school year is an exciting time for us at Junior Achievement. We are back in action with the goal of impacting 75,000 students.   Once again we are counting on YOU to bring our financial literacy programs to life. For more details on current JA volunteer needs , please click here.   T hank you for inspiring our next generation of San Diego leaders.
Seeking More Dedicated Volunteer for JA Company Program
Poway Unified School District students show some muscle as they get ready to pitch their business idea at the 2015 JA Entrepreneurial Showcase competition.

We are looking for volunteers to bring real-life business experience and guidance into the classroom this school year for our JA Company Program . It is one of JA's signature programs that dates back to 1919.  Under the guidance of a volunteer, the program lets students start and manage their own business from the ground-up. Students create a product or service, market it to their classmates, families and community while carrying the responsibility of managing company finances.

As a JA Company Program volunteer you will work closely with a high school team in launching a business and teaching the students the basics of entrepreneurship.  To volunteer, please contact Laura Bagheri at lbagheri@jasandiego.org .

Share Your Career Success by Sponsoring a Job in the Park
As part of the Mission Fed JA Finance Park program, students in the classroom sign into our online Career Center and choose a job that is the basis for their avatar life. Once they attend JA Finance Park they receive a salary and "life situation" based upon the job they chose. They then must budget and shop for all their family's needs and wants. After attending JA Finance Park, students have the opportunity to continue to use the online Career Center as a resource to research local jobs in SD!

The Jobs Database holds 220 jobs that are available for sponsorship in perpetuity at $4,500 each. JA is unique in that we are customizing all jobs to match the San Diego job market. We hope you will consider sharing your career success with tomorrow's leaders. To become a Jobs in the Park sponsor, please contact JA's Martha Phillips at
