National Association of Congregational Christian Churches: Community Connections
New Look and Format
Michael Chittum, Executive Director

Welcome to the new NACCC News!

Many folks around the NACCC have expressed a desire to see a more modern format for the NACCC News that contains more timely information from your leadership and the National Association (NA). For the next four months we will be incorporating a new, more frequent, and shorter version of the NACCC News. On the 1 st and 10 th of each month, an email will be sent to you through Constant Contact. This will replace the longer version of the NACCC News you were able to access on the website.

Watch for- NACCC News: Community Connections which will be emailed on the 1 st of the month, featuring updates from your Leadership Boards, new ordinations, recent Minister Calls, and member church activities.

Followed by the NACCC News: The Messenger, emailed on the 10 th of the month which will include: an article from the Executive Director or other NACCC staff members, program information, updates on missions, and so much more.

We hope you enjoy the new and improved version of the NACCC News. As always feel free to let us know what you think by emailing [email protected]

Leadership Council Update
Laura Hamby, Moderator

We are excited about two new 2016-2017 priorities:  1) Promoting youth in leadership roles of the NACCC and 2) Connecting better with NACCC member churches in order to better serve  your church.

Throughout the year, we work closely with four task teams, Year Round Delegates (YRD), Membership, Plymouth Landing 400th Anniversary, and Support for the Executive Director. We are currently looking for individuals who have the heart and talent needed to serve on the Membership and YRD task teams. Please contact me at:  [email protected]  if you are interested in serving. I look forward to hearing from you!
Board of Directors Update
Jim Waechter, Vice-Moderator

It is with great joy and a large dose of humility that I started work as your Vice Moderator and Chairman of the Board of Directors. The NACCC continues in a process of renewal and revival as our churches voted to reorganize the NACCC and to put new By-laws in place. The Board of Directors is working hard to continue this process of renewal through our task teams and partnerships with other councils and boards. We look forward to our combined meeting later this month in Oak Creek with the Board of Governors. We are also seeking dedicated individuals to serve on the Ambassador Task Team. Please contact me at: [email protected] if you are interested.

Board of Governors Update
Varn Philbrook, President

As the fall business of the NACCC gets underway it is shaping up to be exciting, interesting and I believe less confusing - Articles, By-laws, Amendments and Filings are established and we can once again re-focus on the work of the Association. Thank you to Jim Deline and all of the past leadership for their dedication and doggedness in pounding out the details. A special thanks also to Dan Drea, CFO of the NACCC, who kept track of our money wrangling, keeping us on a true and prudent course. The leadership and staff have worked hard to accomplish all of this. And speaking of work, we now have a full work force! Hopefully most of you have met our new staff members, Debby Fulton, Director of Development & Communications and her assistant, Morgan O'Hara. We are grateful and blessed to have these women working for the NACCC.

As always, we encourage NACCC leadership and member churches to evaluate your contributions to the NACCC and consider continuing or increasing your donations. Help us continue to grow, improve upon our programs and succeed in our mission.
