GET OUT & PLAY SEES RECORD NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

GO&P is sending record numbers of local school children to ski and skate this school year. So far this year, 925 students from Jeremy Ranch Elementary School, McPolin Elementary School, Park City Day School, Parley's Park Elementary School, Trailside Elementary School and Weilenmann School of Discovery have skied and skated. There are two sessions left to go.

GO&P is growing and adding new schools and programs! Park City Day School joined GO&P. Weilenmann added skating to its Thursday offerings. The Deer Valley ski program was expanded to all four Park City School District Elementary Schools. Also, GO&P implemented a SPORT core value program. Each week, youth focus on a different topic during their lessons—Sportsmanship, Perseverance, Optimism, Respect, Teamwork—and receive a dog tag stamped with the core value of the week!

Miners Day Parade 2013

Session 3, which began February 13th, (White Pine Nordic Skiing, Utah Olympic Park Programs & Park City Ice Arena Skating) and Session 4 (Park City Ice Arena Skating) are already sold out.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BRICKS

The Youth Sports Alliance has been chosen as a beneficiary by Intermountain Healthcare to raise funds by selling engraved pavers to line the walkways in the newly created (and free) community garden at Park City Medical Center. 100% of funds raised from paver sales will help fund Youth Sports Alliance sports teams and the Get Out & Play after school program. Bricks can be personally engraved and will be placed in this garden later this spring, which you can personally visit and enjoy! For more information or to purchase a brick, please go to ysaparkcity.org
