Welcome to the January issue of CCC Technology for Student Success News featuring updates on the latest progress of the Common Assessment Initiative (CAI), Education Planning Initiative (EPI) and Online Education Initiative (OEI).
OEI Selects Link-Systems For Online Tutoring

 

The California Community Colleges (CCC) Online Education Initiative (OEI) recently selected Link-Systems International Inc. (LSI) as best suited to provide online tutoring services for the CCC.
 

Services will be available through an agreement between the Foundation for Califorrnia Community Colleges and LSI. LSI is a 20-year-old company that offers extensive one-on-one, web-based tutoring services to students in all subject areas.

CAI Seeking More Faculty, Stakeholder Dialogue  

 

As the New Year rolls out, the California Community Colleges (CCC) Common Assessment Initiative (CAI) continues to plan out what the future will hold for college stakeholders across the state.
 

With the RFP submission process having closed on Jan. 9, and the process of choosing vendors starting to take shape, CAI Statewide Project Director Jennifer Coleman explained that more faculty are needed to take part in the initiative's three major workgroups -- English, Math and English as a Second Language (ESL).
