Prayer Requests:
- Pray for the church to be refined by rooting out syncretism, false teaching, and idolatry.
- Pray for indigenous mission agencies to establish bases which send workers to an increasingly Muslim population.
- Pray for an end to the evils of rampant child trafficking, prostitution, and exploitation of the poor.
- Pray for Anani (our Compassion International sponsored child)...for his physical, emotional, and spiritual needs to be met (that he would have a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ).

| Friday, October 14th, is International Day at Heritage Christian School, and we are looking for speakers! | Morning Drop Off Procedures |
| To keep traffic flowing smoothly and our children safe, please keep in mind our morning drop off procedures.
- Please pull ahead all the way to the fire hydrant or as far as possible along the fire lane before stopping to let your children out.
- Keep the space between you and the car ahead of you at a minimum.
- Do not get out of the vehicle to help your children. If you need to get out of the vehicle, please park in the parking lot.
- Be patient when the line gets backed up during busy times and avoid pulling around other cars.

| After School Care Program Full - Additional Supervisor Needed |
| Due to the current size of the After School Program, we are no longer able to enroll any more students. If you would like to be put on the waiting list, please contact the office. We are still searching for an additional supervisor for the program. The time commitment would be from 3:30 to 5:30pm, five days a week. This position is a great opportunity to play with and supervise the children. If you or someone you know (college age or above) would be interested, please email Mike Annis at [email protected]. |
| Family Restaurant Night at North Liberty Bluebird Café on Oct. 13 |
|  The first Family Restaurant Night of the year is set for Thursday, October 13 from 5pm to close at the North Liberty Bluebird Café. Take the night off from cooking and grab dinner with family and friends. Make sure to mention that you are there to support Heritage and a portion of your bill will be donated to the school! |

 Bring your lawn chairs and family to the Heritage H.A.N.D.S. bonfire at the school on Sunday, October 23 anytime from 4-5:30pm for s'mores and hot chocolate. This is a great time to meet new families and connect with old friends! |
| Volunteer Screening Process - Now Online! |
| The Volunteer Application Screening Process is now available online. You can visit our website and click on the Volunteer Application icon under Parent Hub on the home page or click here to access the application. You'll choose the volunteer option and then click on the form for the volunteer opportunity you would like to apply for. One item to note is that if you will be driving for a field trip, we need a copy of your drivers license as well as a copy of your declarations page showing your vehicle insurance limits (not just the insurance card as in previous years.) We invite you to come out and cheer on the Eagles Cross Country team at the Trinity Cross Country Invitational on Monday, September 26th. The meet will be held at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca and we hope to see you there!
5/6th Girls Basketball Head Coach, 5/6th Girls Assistant Coach, and 5/6th Boys Assistant Coach Needed - The responsibilities for these positions include: providing supervision at all practices and games, teaching sports skills and games strategies, maintaining game stats, and upholding all policies in the HCS Parent/Student Handbook and Athletic Policy. In addition, all candidates must demonstrate a personal relationship with Christ and be in agreement with the HCS Statement of Faith. Soccer Game Results:
The Eagles soccer teams took on the Lutheran Interparish Panthers on Tuesday evening. The 5/6th Eagles battled the heat to come away with a victory over the Panthers. The Eagles scored 8 goals, which were scored by Zachary Ahrens, Trey Schweitzer, Zander Edkin, Trey Montgomery, Liona Rocca, and Brock Sherman.
The 7/8th Eagles came out strong with an early lead in the first half. The Eagles had some great opportunities on goal, with Corey Holman, Adu Habte, and Sam Young each putting the ball in the back of the net. The Eagles finished the night with a score of 4-2 for the win. Go Eagles!
