Homecoming 2016 Postponed Due to Weather |
|
Festivities to Take Place Next Friday
Due to the intense rain and flooding from the remnants of Tropical Storm Julia, Ridgecroft's Homecoming festivities, originally scheduled for today, have been postponed until next Friday, September 30. The varsity soccer team will take on Hertford County at 3:30 PM. The homecoming court will be presented and the homecoming queen crowned during halftime. Throughout the afternoon, spiritwear will be available for sale, and the PTO will have a giant slide, cotton candy, and face painting for the kids. The day will end with a homecoming dance in the Revelle Gymtorium from 7:30 to 9:30 for grades 6-12. Tickets are $5 and available from Mrs. diLustro (middle school students) or homeroom teachers (high school students.)
There are still plenty of Homecoming volunteer opportunities for both parents and students. Please check the Service Hour Opportunities links to the left and sign up to help. We hope everyone comes out for this exciting day!.

Weather Doesn't Dampen Spirit Week
Although the weather cut Spirit Week short, Ridgecroft's students showed enough spirit to fill several weeks! Taking the themes of Pajama Monday, Tacky Tourist Tuesday, and Cartoon Wednesday to heart, faculty, staff, and students enjoyed dressing up and playing their parts. The themes that were postponed, Throw Back Thursday, and Blue-and-White Friday, will take place next Thursday and Friday, September 29 and 30.

Clipping Cash!
Each of those little pink squares may be worth only 10 cents, but they add up quickly. During the 2015-16 school year, Ridgecroft earned more than $1000 from Box Tops for Education! The PTO used that money to provide teachers with classroom equipment like LCD projectors, file cabinets, and much more. So, keep clipping!

Turn your Groceries into Greenbacks!
You can help Ridgecroft just by doing your usual grocery shopping. Buy Food Lion gift cards from Joannah Lassiter in the business office and Ridgecroft will receive 5% of your total purchase.
