Long time Baroid IDP representative Ron Peterson has earned a reputation for knowing the ins and outs of the water well drilling business. He has received many awards and spent a year as a visiting lecturer for the National Ground Water Association.
Now he's writing a regular column for the group's magazine the Water Well Journal in addition to his day job for Baroid IDP.
Baroid Industrial Drilling Products introduces CLAY-DRILLâ„¢ polymer based drilling fluid for HDD applications. Using CLAY-DRILL has resulted in cleaner drill strings, reamers, and bottom hole assemblies.
Much of the bentonite used in Baroid IDP products comes from the Lovell, Wyoming mine operated by our sister company Bentonite Performance Minerals.
In August, the mine and neighboring mill were recognized by the Wyoming State Mine Inspector for having no lost time accidents in 2015. In fact August 30 completed the plant's tenth year without a lost time accident!
