September 22, 2016
Dear Members and Fellow Pain Warriors,

Through the work of our amazing members, ambassadors, and team, the U.S. Pain Foundation is becoming a household name this September. It is so powerful to see the strength and dedication of pain warriors thus far, and we are grateful for your continued support and dedication to our work.

Although we have reached our final week of Pain Awareness Month, U.S. Pain is still raising awareness and advocating for pain patients in events throughout the country. Advocacy and education doesn't stop for the U.S. Pain Foundation at the conclusion of Pain Awareness Month.

We are proud of each and every one of you for your ability and bravery day in and day out. U.S. Pain will continue fighting along side of you throughout your journey, and continue advocating for your rights.

Wishing you all a low-pain and high-spirits day,

Patients For Medicare Access
Next Step: Tweet the Candidates

As the nation prepares to watch the first Presidential debate between Hilllary Clinton and Donald Trump, we will be learning of their visions on the future of our healthcare. That's why we are asking you to tweet both candidates, urging them to stand with us, the pain patients and caregivers and protect patient access by stopping the Medicare Part B demo.

U.S. Pain Foundation's Patients for Medicare Access campaign is launching its next phase: Tweeting the Candidates. How do you participate? It's simple! Just visit  www.patientsformedicareaccess.org and authorize your Twitter account, entering your contact information to tweet the Presidential candidates. Tweets will surround message that supports patient access to the treatments we all deserve and many need.

With your help, we can direct the Presidential candidates' attention to the dangers that CMS' proposed Medicare Part B changes pose to patients living with pain. Help by taking action today, and be heard!

The Pain Awareness Month Pledge is a way to unite pain warriors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, lawmakers, and others in the form of an online promise.

Last year, 895 individuals signed the pledge. We are pleased to announce that after the third week of Pain Awareness Month, we have had 773 individuals sign the pledge ! U.S. Pain Members Show More Responsible Behavior When It Comes to Over-the-Counter Medicine Usage

U.S. Pain Foundation members recently took a survey regarding over-the-counter (OTC) medication use. We are proud to announce that our members showed more responsible use of OTC medications compared to the general public consumer survey. In fact, 58% of U.S. Pain poll-takers consider it very harmful to not seek advice from their doctor or pharmacist before beginning a new prescription, compared to 38% of the general public. Further, 71% of our members consider the impact of taking an OTC medication with other medications, as opposed to 46% of the general public. To see the full results,  Click Here!

 Pain Warrior Pride
