From the Desk Of  Mrs. Bopp...

Good Afternoon,

What beautiful weather god has blessed us with! God is Good!

Today is Progress Day. We are halfway through the first quarter of the school year! It has been exciting for me to be able to work with the teachers to provide the high quality and rigorous classroom experiences you've come to expect. It's also fun to be in the classrooms to witness the great activities going on as our young people learn about God's mercy and develop skills that will take them far into the future.

There are many activities scheduled as we move into October. Please be sure to check out the information below and check out Gradelink. Feel free to call the school office if you have any questions.

I leave you with this prayer, courtesy of the SAM Ladies Group.

God of all seasons, we thank you for Autumn.
We thank you
for the touch of coolness in the air that gives us a new burst of energy,
for the coloring of trees that shows the creativity of the Divine Artist,
for the falling leaves that reveal the strength of the branches,
for the hues of fields that bring peace to our souls,
for the smiles on pumpkins that bring joy to our children,
for the fall harvest that brings us gratitude for the bounty of our land,
for this change of seasons that reveals the circle of life.
God of all seasons, as you transform the earth, transform us by your Spirit.
Amen

Peace, Prayers, and Blessings,
Chris

Can You Help with the Family Mass Receptions?

Family Masses are at the 9:30am Mass the 2nd Sunday of the month, followed by a reception in the Social Hall as part of Hospitality Sunday.  We are looking for a few volunteers to assist in the planning of these receptions, namely ordering and picking up the donuts, and setting up the coffee station before Mass.  If you are interested, please contact Trena Pacetti at trenamarkpacetti@gmail.com.  For this school year, help is only needed for the October, December, February, March, and May receptions.  Thanks for considering!

SPORTS BOOSTERS NEWS:
  • Winter Sports Sign Ups - Registration for Basketball is now open through October 7. The number of teams will be determined by the number of kids signed up. All grades may not be supported if there are not enough participants.
The link to registration is below. When registering, please remember to update the student athlete's grade to their current grade on the Student Information part of the registration, if necessary. Also, select the Parish field if not already entered. A current physical, conducted within 12 months of November 1, 2016, is required to participate.
Registration after the cut off dates will result in the student athlete being put on a waiting list and does not guarantee a spot on the team.
