In accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of the Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce, nominations are now open for the Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
  1. The completed nomination forms must be received by the Chamber of Commerce office prior to 5:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2016 to be considered by the Nomination Committee.
  2. The Nomination Committee will complete their review and make recommendations in accordance with Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce Bylaws
  3. Ballots with your candidate profile will be sent to each voting delegate by October 24th and must be returned to the Chamber office no later than Friday, November 7.
  4. The ballots will be counted on Monday, November 10th at 5:30pm and the Board will be installed at the Annual General Meeting and President's Dinner on Wednesday, November 19th.

Tidal Treasures Vancouver Island

From October to March, beachcombers can discover glass treasures in Vancouver Island's Oceanside region.

To kick off the event there will be the Big Beach Ball at Quality Resort Bayside Saturday October 15th! Tickets are $25 and will feature glass work from the contributing artists.

Their army of Float  Fairies will drop and hide more than 300 handcrafted glass floats and hundreds of other dazzling glass sea creatures...starfish, seahorses, sand dollars, scallops.. above the high tide line on beaches stretching from Nanoose Bay in the south to Deep Bay in the north. And anyone who finds one can keep it!

The glass treasures are being produced by local artisans in an effort to bring their art to the people and to create a fantastic new off-season event to draw visitors to the region.

Qualicum Beach Family History Society will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, October 19,  7pm at the Qualicum Legion.  

Guest speaker will be Jamie Brown, Information Services Technician for Cloverdale Library, with 'Family History on the Cheap'.  Guests welcome
