We Love Visitors!
When we begin classes in new communities, we often have Directors who are reluctant to allow visitors to their Live 2 B Healthy ® classes.
While we always respect the rights of our partnership communities to deny class visitors, we do our best to explain that if they are conducting tours to fill beds, they already have visitors in the community.  Why not get area seniors in to enjoy your activities while they are still living at home?  Then, when the time comes to consider a move, they will already be part of your fitness community.  They will have friends and will be comfortable.  What an easy transition would this make for both the seniors and your residents, to have a friend move in, rather than a stranger?
The cost of the class for the community is not based upon attendance in classes, so an extra visitor from the outside is does not benefit Live 2 B Healthy ®'s bottom line, but it certainly could benefit the community's in the long run!

Receiving a hand-written note like this from a new resident - priceless!
The Legacy at Lafayette

The Legacy at Layfayette sent out a press release around New Years describing their Live 2 B Healthy® classes. The Colorado Hometown Weekly picked up the press release, visited the class, and wrote up a very complimentary article that appeared both online and in print. From that article, the Legacy got 4 phone calls, and two women visited the class and both have continued to and participate regularly.

Ecumen Evergreens in Fargo

Gerald & Virgie Worrel are an unusual success story for Ecumen Evergreens in Fargo. They do not even live at the community, but they heard about the FREE new class in their area from SilverSneakers®Flex. Evergreens welcomed them to the class in June 2015, and they have been attending
3 times per week since they began.
"At my age (83) your attention span becomes erratic. Most of these exercises were recommended by a therapist
for home exercises. But after 5-6 minutes, other things seem to be more enjoyable, so the structured routine and
companionship of this type of class really helps, both
physically and mentally. I think the class provides a chance
to challenge myself and constantly improve my physical
condition. I have noticed a great improvement in my muscle
tone. Over all I feel these sessions have been a great help for
me," stated Gerald.

Broomfield Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Broomfield sent out a public invitation to a National Senior Health and Fitness Day event they were co-hosting with Live 2 B Healthy®. From the press release that they sent out, they had pre-event coverage in an article in the local Broomfield Enterprise (a Denver Post weekend insert for Broomfield).  They also had a post-event coverage in  My Prime Time News in print and online to over 50,000 seniors (with 300 in-home senior subscribers) in 13 Denver counties.  This event brought in 4 local area people from the outside community.
