Hello Old Donation!
Well, the sky has sure opened up on us here, hasn't it? I've seen a lot of you posting pictures on Facebook of the lakes that have popped up all around you... in the streets, on golf courses, all over the place! I hope you're all staying safe and relatively dry.
I also hope that the flooding won't keep you from coming out tonight to our program! Tom Cantrell continues with week 2 of his presentation "Crisis, Christ, and Change: How God Uses Life as a Tool. The first week was phenomenal, with deep insight into how God works in our lives and how we can live into those works. This week, come hear about some practical tools we can use to help transform our lives and live the way Christ called us to live- and share our faith with the world! Holy Eucharist at 6:00pm, dinner at 6:30pm, program at 7:00pm.
Don't forget to put this Saturday on your calendars! It's forecast to be the first sunny day all week, and just in time! We'll have a parish cleanup headed by John Brown and the Buildings and Grounds commission from 8am-noon, with donuts and coffee included. Then, head over to Mt. Trashmore at 4:00pm for a picnic and play! This Family Fun event is for EVERYONE, so just RSVP. to let me know you'll be there. Note: 4:00pm is the correct time, not
11:00am.
On Sunday, we will provide the meal for Mission of the Holy Spirit, though clergy will not be present to celebrate Eucharist since we were there last week to do a Spirit-filled group baptism. If you want to meet the people, worship with them, and help serve food you are still more than welcome!
That's all I've got, my friends. Stay safe, stay dry, but not too dry... we still want to see you around!
In Christ,
